Product Specific Information
PA5-22688 can be used to recognize denatured and non-denatured TurboGFP and CopGFP, in immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry (paraffin), western blot, and ELISA assays.
TurboGFP is an improved variant of the green fluorescent protein CopGFP cloned from copepod Pontellina plumata (Arthropoda; Crustacea; Maxillopoda; Copepoda)
Reconstitute with sterile water or 50% glycerol to a concentration of 1 mg/ml. Store at -20 C for one year; reconstituted with sterile water, antibody can be stored at +2 - +8°C for three months; reconstituted with 50% glycerol, antibody can be stored at -20°C for six months.
General Information
TurboGFP is an improved variant of the green fluorescent protein CopGFP cloned from copepod Pontellina plumata (Arthropoda; Crustacea; Maxillopoda; Copepoda) [Shagin et al., 2004]. It possesses bright green fluorescence (excitation/ emission max = 482/ 502 nm) that is visible earlier than fluorescence of other green fluorescent proteins.

Immunofluorescence with anti-TurboGFP Polyclonal Antibody (PA5-22688)
Immunofluorescence analysis of TurboGFP expression in HeLa cells shown in brightfield, TurboGFP expression (green), and using a polyclonal antibody recognizing TurboGFP (Product # PA5-22688) at a dilution of 1:3000 followed by an anti-rabbit secondary antibody (red).
Western blot analysis of recombinant TurboGFP was performed by loading 50 ng of purified protein onto a 14% SDS-PAGE gel. Recombinant protein was purified from transformed E. coli and the sample was boiled before loading. After transfer, membranes were probed with a rabbit polyclonal antibody recognizing TurboGFP (Product # PA5-22688) at a dilution of 1:20,000. Membranes were probed with a goat anti-rabbit-HRP secondary antibody and then detected by chemiluminescent (ECL) or colorimetric (TMB) detection.
