M130B targets IL-13 in ELISA, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.

The M130B immunogen is recombinant human IL-14. This antibody is produced by injecting Rat IgG secreting hybridoma cells into the peritoneum of mice. The resulting ascites is collected from the mice and the antibody is purified.

M130B detects IL-13 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 13 kDa.

The M130B IL13 antibody (biotinylated conjugate of clone 5A2) has successfully been paired as the detection antibody in a sandwich ELISA with capture antibody P130E. Typical dilutions for sandwich ELISA include 1 µg/ml for coating and 0.125 - 0.25 µg/ml for detection.

Biotinylated antibody M130B (clone 5A2) and antibody P130E have successfully been used in combination with recombinant IL13 protein SIL13 in ELISA applications.
General Information
This gene encodes an immunoregulatory cytokine produced primarily by activated Th2 cells. This cytokine is involved in several stages of B-cell maturation and differentiation. It up-regulates CD23 and MHC class II expression, and promotes IgE isotype switching of B cells. This cytokine down-regulates macrophage activity, thereby inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. This cytokine is found to be critical to the pathogenesis of allergen-induced asthma but operates through mechanisms independent of IgE and eosinophils. This gene, IL3, IL5, IL4, and CSF2 form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 5q, with this gene particularly close to IL4.
