P130E targets IL-13 in ELISA, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples.

The P130E immunogen is recombinant human IL-13.

P130E detects IL-13 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 13 kDa.

The P130E IL13 polyclonal antibody has successfully been paired as the coating antibody in a sandwich ELISA with detection antibody M130B (biotinylated conjugate of clone 5A2) Typical dilutions for sandwich ELISA include 1 µg/ml for coating and 0.125 - 0.25 µg/ml for detection.

Antibody P130E and biotinylated antibody M130B (clone 5A2) have successfully been used in combination with recombinant IL13 protein SIL13 in ELISA applications.
General Information
This gene encodes an immunoregulatory cytokine produced primarily by activated Th2 cells. This cytokine is involved in several stages of B-cell maturation and differentiation. It up-regulates CD23 and MHC class II expression, and promotes IgE isotype switching of B cells. This cytokine down-regulates macrophage activity, thereby inhibits the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines. This cytokine is found to be critical to the pathogenesis of allergen-induced asthma but operates through mechanisms independent of IgE and eosinophils. This gene, IL3, IL5, IL4, and CSF2 form a cytokine gene cluster on chromosome 5q, with this gene particularly close to IL4.
