| PA1-807 detects FOXC1 from human and mouse samples. PA1-807 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot, PA1-807 detects a ~50 kDa band representing FOXC1 from HepG2 cells and mouse kidney cells. This antibody also detects a nonspecific band at ~45 kDa from HepG2 cells, and at ~60 kDa from mouse kidney samples. The PA1-807 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues A(423) V D D P L P D Y S L P(434) of human FOXC1. |
| General Information |
| This gene belongs to the forkhead family of transcription factors which is characterized by a distinct DNA-binding forkhead domain. The specific function of this gene has not yet been determined; however, it has been shown to play a role in the regulation of embryonic and ocular development. Mutations in this gene cause various glaucoma phenotypes including primary congenital glaucoma, autosomal dominant iridogoniodysgenesis anomaly, and Axenfeld-Rieger anomaly. |
