| PA1-600 detects recombinant human angiostatin. PA1-600 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects a 50 kDa protein representing recombinant human angiostatin. PA1-600 immunizing peptide corresponds to amino acid residues 1-19 from mouse angiostatin. This sequence is 95% and 84% conserved in rat and human angiostatin, respectively. |

| Angiostatin is a proteolytic fragment that comprises the first four kringle domains of the ~85 kDa plasminogen. Angiostatin reduces endothelial cell proliferation and acts as an potent inhibitor of angiogenesis and tumor growth. |
